  • ◎The “Alternative Series” has joined the PlayStation® of Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2.
  • ⇒　As the first MS from this series to appear on the PlayStation® version,
    Wing Gundam Zero [EW] and Tallgeese III from New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz have been implemented.
  • ※“Wing Gundam Zero [EW]” will be added to the Supply Drop lineup starting [JST] 08/28/2025 and “Tallgeese III” will be added starting [JST] 09/04/2025.
■Unit adjustment
◎Various Parameter Adjustments are implemented.

■Tutorial related
  • ◎The “first-time tutorial” that new players experience when starting “Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2” has been revamped.
  • ⇒　Previously, the tutorial was structured for step-by-step to teach the individual controls. After the revamp, players will instead learn through a continuous, practical flow from navigating the map, to defeating an enemy MS and finally achieving victory.
  • ⇒　During the tutorial, the various control methods are now displayed on screen, and the current objective is easier to check.
■Basecamp related
  • ◎We have added a “Beginner” section to Tenda’s Information Center in the Base Camp.
  • ⇒　In this section, you can retake the initial tutorial as basic training as many times as you like.
    Additionally, upon completing the training, you can receive a one-time reward of 10,000 DP.
■Battles
  • ◎We have implemented an “Early Match Invalidation” feature.
  • ⇒　If a player leaves immediately after the battle begins, a dialog will appear to declare the match invalid, and all players will be returned to Basecamp.
  • ※Players who are returned to Basecamp due to an Early Match Invalidation will not receive penalty.
■Communication related
  • ◎Preset messages have been added to Quick Chat.

  • ⇒　From a past player survey, we confirmed that certain messages were causing stress for some users.
    To ensure a healthier play experience in GBO2, this update reviews preset messages that met both conditions of “Received a significant number of requests for change in the survey” + “Were frequently reported as “Abusive Chat” via the in-game report function”.
    As a result, some messages have been edited, while those with the highest volume of requests and reports have been removed entirely.

  • ・A fix has been applied for the bug, where the “Crossbone Gundam X-1 Kai” and “Crossbone Gundam X-2 Kai” would sometimes perform a downward melee attack without moving forward, causing the attack to occur in place.
  • ・A bug has been fixed where the hatch opening/closing sound effect did not play when boarding the “Crossbone Gundam X-2 Kai”.
  • ・Fixed an issue where the unit description of the “Crossbone Gundam X-2 Kai” contained a typo error.
  • ・In “RF Gouf”, the English name for the sub-weapon “RF Gouf Beam Launcher” was displayed as “BEAM BAZOOKA” in certain language settings, so it has been corrected to “BEAM LAUNCHER”.
  • ◎Battles
  • ・A bug has been fixed where MS equipped with the skill “Transform (Flight) LV1” was not able to neutralize the ongoing damage from incendiary-type weapons when performing an emergency evasion in certain situations.
  • ◎Skills
  • ・A bug has been fixed when an MS with the ‘Max Output (K)’ or ‘Max Output (Z)’ skill active was captured, the effect of the skill would remain displayed on the screen of the captured player even after the skill’s duration had ended.
  • ◎Others
  • ・In the “English” language setting, the description of <VR operator> Kincade was overflowing outside the text box, so this has been corrected.
  • ■How to Update the game
  • Start “Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2” from the PlayStation®4 or PlayStation®5 home screen.
    If you are connected to the Internet, the latest version will be downloaded automatically.
  • After the update is successfully completed, the [ver. information] displayed in the upper right corner of the “H.A.R.O.” screen will be updated.
    If the [ver. information] is out of date, please wait a while and try again.
    Please note that players with different, [ver. information] will not be matched with each other.
