■New MS “V2 Assault Buster Gundam”!
Coming from “Mobile Suit Victory Gundam”, V2 Assault Buster Gundam is now arriving on the battlefield!
This enhanced configuration was fielded during the battle over Angel Halo in the original series.
For its implementation in GBO2, certain adjustments have been made to its weapon loadout.
<Unit features>
・General unit with cost of 750.
・A V2 Gundam equipped with both Assault and Buster optional part sets.
・The Assault parts provide armor enhancement, designed for use in quick assaults and melee combat, while greatly improving the MS’s ability to withstand firepower and beam attacks.
In addition to its high-output beam weapon, the VSBR, an I-Field Generator combined with beam-resistant coated armor provide remarkable anti-beam defensive capability.
In contrast, the Buster parts feature heavy weapons for medium-to-long-range artillery combat.
The high-output, long-range Mega Beam Cannon, a close-to-medium range Spray Beam Pod, and other armaments provide overwhelming destructive power.
・Both of these optional part sets were designed for use in tandem, allowing the MS to maximize its capabilities.
Additionally, three barrier bits can generate a wide-coverage, high-power beam shield with defensive strength comparable to that of an entire fleet.
With overwhelming offensive power and near-impenetrable defense, this unit’s combat capabilities are on par with those of a battlecruiser.
Deployed during the Battle of Angel Halo, the V2 Assault Buster successfully broke through enemy lines in a solo charge.
・Can be deployed both on the Ground and in Space.
  • <Skill and Weapons>
  • Skill “M Drive Unit Control System LV2”
  • ・Press the touch pad to activate skill.
  • ・Boosting attack and mobility
  • ・Reducing thruster consumption while High Speed Movement
  • ・Reducing stagger build-up during High Speed Movement
  • ・Altering the performance of compatible weapons
  • ・When moving forward for a certain amount of time at high speed, wings of light are generated, staggering and damaging all enemies your unit or the wings collide with, and forcing those enemies to consume a set amount of thruster.
Also, while the wings are generated, heat rate recovery speed and overheat recovery speed for compatible weapons will be boosted.
  • ・When activated on the ground, you will enter Flight Mode which enable continuous actions in midair.
All actions (moving and melee attacking) synced to the reticle, and damage reaction reduced, but the ATK boosting effect is lowered.
Auto thruster consumption and recovery will be halted while the skill is activated.
  • ・Can also be used underwater.
  • Skill will be temporarily disabled if canceled.
  • Sub-weapon “Barrier Bit Deployment [Defense]”
  • ・Launches barrier bits linked to the Mega Beam Shield.
After the weapon is used, barrier bits are deployed, with melee and ranged attacks negated by an inverted triangular I-field.
Tackling power is also enhanced while deployed.
  • ・Reloading, taking a melee attack to the MS, or performing a counter while Barrier Bits are deployed will release the deployment.
Note that if your unit pulls off a counter disabling the barrier bits, the Heat Gauge will fully recover.
  • Sub-weapon “Barrier Bit Deployment [Wide Defense]”
  • ・Launches barrier bits linked to the Mega Beam Shield.
After the weapon is used, barrier bits are deployed, with enemy ranged attacks negated by a triangular I-field.
Tackling power is also significantly enhanced while deployed, altering reaction to tackles so that enemies that are not toppled or under a status effect can be knocked back.
  • ・Reloading, taking a melee attack, or triggering a counter while barrier bits are deployed will release the deployment.
Note that if your unit pulls off a counter disabling the barrier bits, the Heat Gauge will fully recover.
Additionally, the Gottrlatan that appeared in the V2 Assault Buster Gundam PV is also scheduled to join the battle soon.
Stay tuned!!
■MS in “Turn A Gundam” series is also coming soon!
Looking a little further ahead, new MS from “Turn A Gundam” will be joining the battle.
This series is also known for many iconic terms and memorable lines, such as the Dark History and Mountain Cycles.
In addition, the MS feature distinctive silhouettes that set them apart, so we believe they will bring even more excitement and variety to the battlefields of GBO2!
■New opening movie!
In celebration of our 8th anniversary, we have renewed the opening movie!
With inspiration drawn from the ending sequence of “Mobile Suit Victory Gundam”, this video portrays the eight-year journey of GBO2 and the countless moments that have shaped its history.
We hope you’ll take the time to watch it as well.
■To wrap thing up…
As GBO2 celebrates its 8th anniversary and enters its 9th year of operation, we will continue to support and develop the game moving forward.
New units, including those from “Turn A Gundam”, as well as units that may be less familiar to many pilots, will be joining the battle.
Our hope is that you will continue to enjoy playing GBO2 while discovering more about the vast world of Mobile Suit Gundam and the many unique mobile suits it has to offer.
Additionally, we will continue working on system improvements and unit adjustments while taking your feedback, including gameplay data and survey responses, into consideration.
We sincerely appreciate your continued support of “Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2”.
Pilots, until we meet again on the battlefield.
