■Kicking things off
Greetings, pilots! This is your DEV Director, Nakagawa, speaking.
The other day, we announced the upcoming GBO Offline Event—exclusive to Japan—and began accepting participant applications. To our surprise and delight, we received far more applications than expected. Thank you all so much for your enthusiasm!
This time, we’re especially excited to host the event at two venues—Tokyo and Osaka—which gives us a great opportunity to connect with pilots from western Japan as well.
Now then, without further ado, let’s dive into the details of this month’s update.
■7th Anniversary Pre-event incoming!
Ahead of GBO2’s 7th anniversary, we’ll be holding this year’s “Pre-event Celebration” once again!
We’ll be running a Special Supply Drop that can be requested once per day for free, as well as a STEP UP Supply Drop where you’re guaranteed to obtain a new unit.
In addition, there will be limited-time missions where you can earn Char’s Gelgoog Lv3 and Lv4.
Char’s Gelgoog is a unit specialized in close-range combat, making use of two types of melee weapons.
Gear up, take on the missions, and go for the win—make it yours!
■Special Battle is back!
Get ready, pilots! Special Battle is back, featuring maps with alternate relay point and base placements…
and this time, the battlefield comes with reversed terrain to shake things up!
First up, let’s dive into the featured map “City Ruins”
<MAP overview>
From an overhead view, it may look like the usual “City Ruins” map,
but as mentioned earlier, the terrain has been mirrored, greatly changing both the atmosphere and movement routes.
<Point 1>
The images below of the normal and mirrored maps both show a view overlooking the central dome from the southwest.
In the original City Ruins, the standard tactic was to capture Relay Point D right at the start of the battle, then ambush enemies from behind collapsed buildings or on the highway.
However, with the terrain now mirrored, the position of Relay Point D has changed. Since there are no obstacles to block attacks from enemies advancing counterclockwise, capturing the relay point leaves you exposed.
Because of this, it’s better to adapt to the situation—for example, start by capturing Relay Point A and prepare to intercept the enemy, or secure Relay Point C and push forward from there.
<Point 2>
Combat on the elevated highway has also changed.
For attackers, it’s now easier to advance counterclockwise using the collapsed expressway, making it easier to approach enemy forces who are lying in ambush on the highway.
The mirrored map requires a different approach from the usual layout, so be sure to give it a try!
Additionally, in the latter half of the Pre-event, we plan to hold another Special Battle on a different mirrored map, so please look forward to that as well!
■New MS “GQuuuuuuX”
Straight from “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX”, which is now approaching its final episode, the powerful GQuuuuuuX joins the fray in GBO2!

This new unit enters the battlefield as a COST 500 General MS, fully capable of operating in both ground and space combat. Get ready to experience its might and versatility in action!

  • <Weapon & skill>
  • ◎Skill “High Mobility Evasion System”
  • ・Pressing touchpad button during High Speed Movement will execute an evasion.
    Can be used again after some time passes.
  • ◎Sub-weapon “Tomenosuke Heat Hawk [Thrown]”
  • ・Kinetic energy is added to the ATK power of this Heat Hawk when thrown, but you must stop moving to use it.
    If the enemy is hit with it from behind, additional damage is dealt.
Another Unit Joins the Battle! That’s right—another powerful mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is entering GBO2! You may already be familiar with the “Red Gundam” that’s made its appearance in-game… but what about the original MS it was based on?
Guess what? It’s the “White Gundam”!

That’s right—making its long-awaited debut, the original mobile suit behind the “Red Gundam” is finally here!

The White Gundam will join GBO2 as a COST 450 General MS, fully capable of engaging in both ground and space combat. Get ready to experience its legendary performance firsthand!

  • <Skills>
  • ◎Skill “Release Ranged Output Limiter LV1”
  • ・If a ranged weapon supporting this skill is focused, another focus can be performed.
    When the additional focus is completed, an enhanced ranged attack can be performed.
  • ◎Skill “EX Boost”
  • ・Press touchpad button to activate ability.
    Boosts mobility, and nullifies thruster consumption while activated. But emergency evasion and tackle will have reduced effect length.
    When effect ends, unit enters a long overheated state.
    Can’t be reactivated.
2 special STEP UP Supply Drop event will also be held, where you’re guaranteed to obtain one unit at both STEP 4 for both of these units, so don’t miss this chance to get them and give them a try!
■To wrap things up…
This update will be applied at [PDT] 06/25/2025 22:00 / [CEST] 06/26/2025 07:00.
Just a little longer until the update—hang in there!
As I briefly mentioned earlier, we’re gearing up for the Anniversary Event in July 2025, just like every year!
In addition to the GBO Offline Event, we’ll be launching a variety of campaigns and announcements—so stay tuned!
Also, with temperatures rising rapidly across Japan, please take care of yourselves and stay alert for signs of heatstroke, especially with sudden weather changes. That’s all for this round of Dev Notes. Pilots, you’re dismissed!
