- ■[PDT] 04/23/2025 02:00
- ■[CEST] 04/23/2025 11:00
- ■First of all,
-
Greetings, pilots! This is your Director Nakagawa speaking!
Lately, the temperatures have been rising, and we can finally start to feel the arrival of Spring…
It’s already late April of 2025, and Golden Week is just around the corner.
It feels like we just celebrated the New Year, and with each passing year, time seems to fly by faster. - Well, let’s go through some updates here!
- ■Golden Week Campaign!
-
The time has come again this year to power up your MS with great value!
We’re launching the Powered-up Hangars Campaign, where the Great Success rate in the Hangar will be significantly increased, and the Enhancement value gained from obtaining duplicate MS will also see a major boost. -
Additionally, a special STEP UP Supply Drop will be available, giving you a great chance to obtain more Mechanic tickets than usual.
Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance a bunch of your MS! - ※Campaign details will be released in the near future.
- ■Special Battle is back!
-
Alongside the Golden Week Campaign, we’ll be hosting a Special Battle event, featuring MAPs with different bases, relay point layouts and spawn positions.
This time, the featured MAPs will be “Mass Driver Facility”, “Resort Development District” and “Tropical Desert”. - ◎Mass Driver Facility
- ・The central relay points have been changed from two to one, and spawn positions at the start of battle have been set at two separate locations.
Will you engage the nearby enemy team right away, or regroup with your allies first?
This choice—and coordination with your team—will be key to victory. - ◎Resort Development District
- ・All relay points have been removed, and both base locations have been repositioned.
While the distance from the base to the front line is now shorter, pushing too far into the enemy’s side can make it difficult to coordinate with allies who have just respawned.
Maintaining a well-formed front line will be crucial. - ◎Tropical Desert
- ・The central relay point has been removed, and both the number and layout of relay points have been adjusted.
Since the starting positions are closer to the enemy team, intense battles will erupt right from the very beginning on this map. - ■Balance adjustment for custom part is now on its way!
-
This time, we’ll be adjusting not only the units but, also the custom parts that have seen low usage rates.
Here are some examples of parts that are scheduled for adjustments. - ◎Optimized Underwater Ordnance LV1
-
- [Adjustments]
- Slot consumption Before: 5/5/3 After: 4/3/2
- Improve the effect “Reduction of thruster consumption in water”

- Grant new effect “Increase recovery speed from beam armament overheating in water”
- ◎Thruster Control System LV5
-
- [Adjustment]
- Grant new effect “Reduction of thruster consumption during high-speed movement”
- ◎New Model Frame LV4
-

- ◎Field Motor LV3

- ■Last but not least,
- This update will be applied at [PDT] 04/23/2025 22:00 / [CEST] 04/24/2025 07:00 and we appreciate your patient.

And as a side note… recently, the total number of units implemented in GBO2 has surpassed 500!
GBO2 is now in its 7th year of service, and I can’t help but reflect on just how many MS have been added over time.
By the way, I’ve checked the implementation order (based on milestone numbers), and here’s what I found. -
- ・100th MS: Zaku II FS (SM)
- ・200th MS: Eye-Zack
- ・300th MS: GM III Powered FA
- ・400th MS: Gaplant TR-5
- ・500th MS: RF Gelgoog
-
Well, there’s certainly no consistency at all, is there? (laughs)
That said, the reason we’ve been able to implement so many units is because pilots like you continue to play Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2.
Moving forward, our primary goal is to deliver even more fun updates so that everyone can keep enjoying the game.
Along the way, we’ll also be aiming to reach another milestone of ‘600 Mobile Suits’! -
And that wraps up this month’s Dev Newsletter. We hope you’re looking forward to the upcoming update!
Now then, to close things out—here’s a sneak peek at the new MS. - ■New MS “Red Gundam”!
-
This time, the new MS is “Red Gundam” from the currently airing Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX.
Stay tuned! - ※This video may not be representative of the actual product.
