[Developer Newsletter] Regarding the Update of December

■First of all,
Greetings and thank you for your service, pilot! This is Ishii from the Develop Team.
I’m here for your Dev newsletter this month, hope you will enjoy!
Before starting, GBO2 is now having GBO Winter Festival 2024!
Don’t miss the special mission of the week which reward you “Re-GZID LV1 and its new added LV2”, check it out!
Limited special missions are going for 4 weeks and pilot can get maximum 8 MS!
On top of it, new custom part “Range Specialized Program LV1” is added as a bonus in round 4!
Let’s finish all the missions and have fun!
Let’s going into the new updates of the month.
Well, some of the contents have already mentioned in the last Dev video letter, but we will still go it through in this Dev note.
■New MS “Kshatriya Repaired”!
“Kshatriya Repaired” from “Mobile Suit Gundam UC” is now in GBO2!
<Unit features>
・General unit with cost of 700.
・This heavily-damaged Kshatriya was repaired using spare parts from Federation MS and modified locally.
・Neo Zeon remnants, known as the Sleeves, experienced a dire shortage of Kshatriya parts following their war with Unicorn Gundam.
After receiving a critical repairing by having support from Nahel Argama’s enginees, and with the unit parts from different forces, this new kind of hybrid mobile suit was born from both factions.
・Although the four large binders could not be fully restored, the overall weight was reduced due to their loss, and the thrust-to-weight ratio was improved by the large propellant tanks on the back, giving it has achieved excellent maneuverability.
It was also equipped with modified Funnels, Hyper Beam Javelin, and Sturm Faust, giving it more offensive capabilities than before the restoration, and it was temporarily able to demonstrate more than equal performance against the Banshee Norn.
・Can be deployed both on the Ground and in Space.

  • <Skills>
  • Skill “Psycho-Frame Light”
  • ・When this unit is destroyed, units within a certain range will receive the following effects.
  • ・HP recovery for all allies, HP recovers for all parts, and all status effects are canceled.
  • ・Also, NT-D Ability Boost skills can be activated for all ally units.
    If NT-D is already in effect, time until Awaken occurs is reduced.
  • ・Finally, enemy units within a certain range are temporarily spotted.
  • Skill “Chest Beam Diffusion Field LV2”
  • ・While using focus fire with a weapon installed in the chest, a field is created in front of it.
    Damage from the ranged beam attacks hitting the field is reduced, and damage reaction on this unit is either reduced or nullified.
    After activation, boosts the damage and focus speed of selected weapons.
  • ※In Kshatriya Repaired, Sub-weapon “Chest Mega Particle Cannon x2” will be affected by this skill.
  • Skill “High-Performance Counter Program LV3”
  • ・Executing a counter with less than a certain of HP triggers a special powerful counter that ignores the enemy’s anti-melee modifiers.

■TRIAL “Battle surround the Box”
In TRIAL, pilot can try the unit you don’t even have in this mission.
This time, we get the “Kshatriya Repaired” for you to have a test on its performance.
The scene setting for the mission is from the original story episode7, “Over the Rainbow”, the final battle in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn.
You will see the enemies of Sleeves and have a serious fight with them.
Then you have to deal with “Banshee Norn”＆”Rozen Zulu”, both having the abilities of nullifying Psycommu weapons and you have to keep the distance and wipe them off!
■SURVIVAL “Swarm of Phantom Beasts”
SURVIVAL, a mission to destroy all MS coming without a single break.
The theme of the SURVIVAL is based on the units appeared in “The Return of Johnny Ridden”.
The Red Comet’s “Dijeh Traversia” and the Rezin’s “Bawoo” will serve as your companions.
This mission features the “Chimera team” from the One Year War and the MS of the Earth Federation government of the U.C. 0090.
As the phase progresses, you will face the Vertex series, and also the “Heavy Gundam (I0)”!
Will you be able to survive the swarm of phantom beasts?
■BOSS “Warped Power”
As the name suggests, BOSS is a mission aimed at destroying bosses (giant MS, MA, etc.).
This time, it will be a series of battles between “Queen Mansa (Annerose)” from “Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Missing Link” and “α Azieru” from “Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack”.
You will have “Todesritter” and “Nu Gundam” in you team.
While the theory is to keep the behavior of the BOSS in sight and destroy the escorting MS before attacking it, it may be interesting to ignore the escorting MS and focus the attack on the BOSS’s weak points to shorten the clear time!
■Last but not least,
This update will be applied at [PST] 12/11/2024 21:00 / [CET] 12/12/2024 06:00.
Usually, we have the adjustment of various parameters and the reporting of the results in line with the update file distribution,
but in order to secure the adjustment period and the reporting data compilation period, we are planning to implement the adjustment on [JST] 12/26/2024 and we appreciate your patience.
